Better Vision AND Healthy Eyes

As important as better vision is to your lifestyle, it's also important to monitor the health of your eyes as well.  Our affiliated doctors of optometry take the time to make sure your eyes are in the best shape possible.  Many eye diseases such as glaucoma have no symptoms.  The only way to stay on top of issues are with regular annual eye exams.  Our doctors use the latest technology to provide a complete 21-point eye examination covering all aspects of eye health.  If we find something amiss, we also have the capability to treat most issues right in the office.

Common Conditions

Dry Eye

Dry eye is a more common eye condition than you would think. It occurs when an individual's tear ducts cannot produce enough lubrication to keep the eyes wet. Fortunately, many new treatments are being developed to relieve these conditions.

Glaucoma

Glaucoma is caused by increased pressure on the optic nerve and can slowly rob you of your sight.  Typically there are no symptoms until very late in the progression of this disease.  Signs of this condition include loss of peripheral vision.  Our independent doctors are fully trained to diagnose and treat this debilitating disease.

Cataracts

Cataracts are when the natural lens on the eye turns cloudy, and it usually slowly occurs over the span of years. One of the most telltale signs is blurry vision. Treatment is cataract surgery, where a new lens replaces the cloudy one.

Pressure

An increased amount of pressure inside the eye, otherwise known as ocular hypertension, must be looked at by a professional. This can be a sign of early glaucoma.

Children's Exams

You're never too young to get an eye exam. As a parent, you should encourage your children to get annual eye exams, to ensure that conditions are caught early and they have the support they need for a life of healthy vision.

Macular Degeneration

Macular degeneration is a debilitating eye disease that affects the visual center of the retina.  Early detection through annual checkups is crucial to stopping the progression of this disease.
