Dr. Holly Knoechel

Glastonbury

Dr. Holly Knoechel was born and raised in central Connecticut. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science degree in Allied Health Sciences. During her school breaks, she worked at Harvey and Lewis in Glastonbury, gaining experience and a love for optometry. 

Upon her graduation from UConn, Dr. Knoechel moved to New York City to attend optometry school at SUNY College of Optometry. She was involved in organized optometry and served as the President of the Connecticut Student Association of Optometrists. Dr. Knoechel graduated at the top of her class and received the Johnson and Johnson Excellence Award in Clinical Contact Lens Patient Care. 

After graduating from SUNY Optometry, Dr. Knoechel moved back to central Connecticut to join the Apex Optometric team and work at Harvey and Lewis once again. Dr. Knoechel practices full-scope optometry including medically necessary contact lenses and medical eye care. 

Outside of the office, Dr. Knoechel enjoys spending time with her husband and yellow lab puppy, Louie. Dr. Knoechel also enjoys cooking and cheering on the UConn Huskies.
